Food Bank Singapore / Young Lion Competition / 2018
We work with McDonald's to launch CryptoFood — a virtual currency that allows consumers to barter ingredients they don’t want for ingredients they love.
We are often told to only order what we will finish. But when there are no extrinsic benefits to doing so, being told to ‘not waste food’ isn’t enough. The idea of charging more when people order more is not novel.
But when you reward people for ordering less, this could change their attitude towards food waste through positive reinforcement.
